Calgary AB, April 7-10

Meet Director: Jimmy Hall

Back to Contest Results Page
This was a fantastic contest, very well run and organized by Jimmy Hall, and quite probably the largest meet in CPU history, with over 215 lifters entered. Lots of great lifts, highlighted by such feats as World Record benches by Shawn O'Halloran at M1, and Robert O'Smith at M3, and a Deadlift WR by Hal Mulholland at M3. We also got to witness the first +800 lb squat in the CPU, at least in the modern drug tested era, by Alberta's M1 lifter Keith Banner. I've seen Keith lift quite a few time, he wears a loose fitting squat suit, and used a singlet only until he got to around 700.

Many Canadian Record were set as well, too many to remember them all here, I'll let these few photos of the contest speak for themselves.
