ELIGIBILITY

Open to all Sub-Junior, Junior, Open, and Master men and women. Powerlifters and Bench Press Only athletes that have met their Provincial and the CPU Regional requirements.

All athletes must complete the CCES True Sport module.

COMPETITION CAPACITY

This event will be limited to 300 Powerlifting competitors and 40 Bench Press Only competitors.

REQUIREMENTS

1. No qualifying total is required for the 2021 Regionals.

2. Have competed in at least one CPU or a Member Province sanctioned competition since January 1, 2018.

3. Fulfill any provincial requirements to compete at a Regional Championship in 2021.

4. Compete at a CPU Member Province competition before the Regional Championship entry deadline. Alternatively, if you have not completed before or since the above date, you must do the following to compete at this year's Regionals:

a. Send a video of you performing each lift according to the IPF rules and following the respective commands to your Member Province no later than 4 weeks prior to the registration deadline. We recommend a bona fide attempt at 70-80% of your predicted one-rep max for each lift for best feedback prior to competing in-person.

b. Send a photo(s) of all your IPF approved equipment that you intend on competing with at the Regional Championships to your Member Province no later than 4 weeks prior to the registration deadline.

c. Athletes will be contacted by their Member Province should there be any issue with their submitted videos or photos.

d. Attend a virtual competition clinic provided by your Member Province which will go over rules, expectations and format of competition no later than 4 weeks prior to the scheduled event.

e. Purchase a CPU membership prior to registering for your Regional Championships.

f. Register for your respective Regional Championships.

$160 – Powerlifting

$120 – Bench Press Only

$190 – Powerlifting and Bench Press Only

AWARDS

Medals - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place in each weight class.
Best lifter - Open/Masters, Junior/Sub-Junior and Bench Press (minimum 5 per age category)
